Abstract

Computer network is a network that connects computer and provides access to various network application services such as computer data services. On a multi computer network service or internet problems often occure, which is certain services can consume large amounts of bandwidth, it causes other services cannot get the bandwidth needed. Therefore, bandwidth use on network services, needs to be monitored by measuring out bandwidth out according to the need of each services. As a result, each services can be used optimally in a network as the bandwidth allocated and set up. The technique called Quality of Service. It uses together with Hierarchical Fair Service Curve Method to control the amount of traffic volume data both sent and received by the network or the maximum rate, that will be sent through PfSense Router. Implementing the traffic shaping technique can result the more stable network performance in each services.
