Abstract

Assistance for underprivileged students who then called Help poor students (BSM) is a form of Government assistance from the amount of cash given directly to students who come from poor families. Students who are awarded the BSM learners who learn in elementary, junior high, high school and VOCATIONAL SCHOOL both public and private. Recipient of BSM is a student who has been designated by the Ministry of education and culture (Kemdikbud) based on the mechanisms that have been set. Scholarship selection process to BSM in school level may be right on target then needed a decision support system by using the method of Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Method of Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) often known as the weighted sum method. The basic concept of the method simple additive weighting (SAW) is seeking the summation of weighted rating performance on any alternative from all attributes. Method of simple additive weighting (SAW) requires a process of normalizing the decision matrix (X) to a scale that can be compared with any alternative rating. Decision support system for the acceptance of a scholarship this BSM will be developed using the programming language PHP (Hypertext Processor files), as well as the MySQL database as the database server.
