    Abstract

    The process of choosing the best student is the process for getting and using the infromation about the best student at school. A school have to make an appropriate a decision about it, and if it done well, the result must be qualified and could be responsible.The Decision Support System is using to help the school to make an appropriate decision. In the research, the software of prototype the decision support system for the best student had been made the function is to help the school making an appropriate decision using Analitychal Hierachy Process (AHP) Method.The main function of this software is processing data of choosing the best student at school. It’s implemented by using language programme Microsoft Visual Basic 2008, and for database uses SQL Server. From the result shows the usage for AHP and Visual Basic 2008 as the model of The Decision Support System to choose the best student in Masehi 1 PSAK Senior High School Semarang could help the school for choosing it through the weighting multicriterial process and selecting faster, careful and more selective.
