Abstract
The parents has limited time in monitoring their childrens academic activities in school for now. The parents can only monitor the grades of their children once in six months from a book namely raport. So, many parents are so suprised with the childrens decreased grades. The parents can not monitor the whole activities of their childrens in school. So, they do not know about their childrens behaviour while in school. But, they got a reprimended letter from school. Thus the researcher makes the design of academic information system based on SMS Gateway SMK Satya Praja Petarukan which is expected to assist parents in monitoring their children learning in school can help students to avoid reprimand the school because tuition payments are always late and the declining value of their academics. Hopefully, the design can help the school staffs, the parents, and the students in improving students academis in school.
