Abstract

SMK 11 Semarang is one of the vocational high school that had four courses of expertise. With the expertise of programs, it takes a chairman competence skills (K3) is responsible for majors lead. In the process of selecting K3 that only takes subjectivity decision that seen in terms of education and length of employment. Decision support system using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) was chosen to resolve the issue.The basic concept of SAW method is to find a weighted summation of the performance ratings of all the alternative attributes, SAW method requires the decision matrix normalization process (x) to a scale that can be compared with existing alternatives all rating. In system developing it use the waterfall method, because it is more structured stages. Based on test results, the designed system are able to solve problems that occur when selecting K3 so that the information obtained is accurate, timely and relevance.
