Abstract
One strategy for dealing with the market in an effort to increase its profit is to predict sales. forecasting is necessary to equalize the difference in time between the present and future of the needs. Artificial neural network is a method or methods that can be applied in forecasting. In this study forecasting method used is backpropagation. backpropagation is a gradient method to minimize the reduction in squared error output, the backpropagation method has three stages namely the propagation phase forward, back propagation and weight changes. This study uses data from the training car sales data from 2010 to 2013. Results of the study were tested with the input sales data as much as 12 months and to output the results predicted sales at month 13. Data used was taken from the car sales at PT. Bengawan Abadi Motor.
