    Abstract

    This design is made to provide an understanding of the picture story. Where the good stories are used as a picture book so that young people know the origin story of the arrival of Cheng Ho in Port Simongan, Semarang, Central Java, and in order to know the purpose of the coming of Cheng Ho to the land of Java, one of which is to spread Islam. This book hopefully can give an understanding that the Sam Po Kong temple is not only for prayer and pilgrimage for the people of Chinese descent but could for the universal (of all denominations) through comic books. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques that has been used are interview, document study, observation and literature. The purpose of this design is to introduce the figure of Cheng Ho, whom is the originator of Sam Po Kong temple.
