    Abstract

    In the middle of the progress of time which is very fast nowadays, the society is demanded to be able to be more active and have great knowledge. But, very often the advancement of technology and science are not balanced with the social sensitivity to what happened in the environment. The society is too busy with their activities so they often abandoned the professions among them which they think it is not so important. The railway-crossing officer is one of the profession that often be forgotten by the society, whereas their existence has important role in preventing the accident between train and people as the road users from happening.One of the aim of television is as a media of education and social control, so that by taking up this theme into a television feature, it is hoped that this television program can be a beneficial show for the society, so that the society can realize the important meaning of the professions that are often forgotten. To be able to make a good television feature with social theme, a director has an important role. The director responsible for the shooting process including the cameras angles so that created a program that contains the artistic without have to manipulate the scenes remembering this program with the title The Forgotten is a reality tv program.
