Abstract

Employees is a very important asset in the company production processes and services, so employee safety is very important. At the time of the earthquake is important to evacuate visitors not only by security personnel but also by employees of the company. Visitor safety can be assessed from the attitude and emergency preparedness of earthquake of employees. This research aims to analyze emergency response preparedness and the factors associated with emergency response to the earthquake threat of permanent employees of Plasa Simpang Lima Semarang. This is analytical research with cross sectional approach. Samples were taken proportionally. They were employees of Plasa Simpang Lima Semarang. Data analyze by Pearson product moment test. Result shows : there are fire alarms that also used for earthquake alarm and evacuation routes in every floor. Emergency preparedness permanent employees Plasa Simpang Lima Semarang pretty good at self rescue evacuation aspect. There is no relationship between attitude and readiness of emergency response on permanent employees to earthquakes Plasa Simpang Lima Semarang (p-value = 0.966). There is relationship between perceive of behavior control with emergency response preparedness on permanent employees to the threat of earthquakes Plasa Simpang Lima Semarang (pvalue = 0.010). Recommendations are : training for permanent employees to ensure preparedness of earthquakes and understand what they have to do when if earthquake happened, add warning signs and evacuation routes in each floor, as well as the evacuation routes control regularly, not put anything on the emergency stairs and emergency rute.
