Abstract

Along with the changing times, the needs for computer technology become increasingly high. It also followed by the rise of the Internet Cafe business and game center, one Game Center PHDNET. The needs of the high society, requires computer client of the game center for 24 hours activity. And it will significantly cause the computer device’s durability reduces especially for its harddisk component and interference on the performance of the computer itself. There are several solutions for these problems, however, with regard to the use of computers in the game center, diskless system is the most appropriate solution. To develop the diskless system, author begins to design the network diskless system, which is a windows-based application that is used to runs, configures, and process diskless in its server. After the design phase is completed, author works with analysis and problems identification that shown in the old system. This needs to be done so that the application of this system of diskless, errors in the old system can be avoided. And in the end, it can give you optimal results from all sides. By seeing the results from diskless network design using CCBoot program applied to the Game Center PHDNET, author has concluded that the diskless system can reduce local harddrive usage and the performance of computer at the Game Center PHDNET Semarang became more optimal, a computer client can be operated as a local hard drive, computer client does not need to update games manually, it can be updated by server and computer client can play updated online games automatically.
