Abstract
As a means for various purposes Geographic information system has been developed in using internet facility that has been known as a web based GIS, not only just GIS but also accentuates the facilities are flexible lead content of an interactive and web functions such as supporting the legend, compass, query (search) as well as information in the mapping. This research discuss resolving the issue in choosing vocational school based on shortest route. The object of the research was a vocational high school in the semarang city with the implementation of the research is to find the shortest route from all existing vocational high school in the semarang city. The GAP between lokasi is use Google Maps API service. The creation of a web-based system is profitable for users so they can access from a variety of devices without need to install any applications on the computer, a tablet and cell phones because system geographic information can be accessed online, using the browser that already support javascript.
