Abstract
The use of the data base is intended as a means of data storage. It can thus minimize the mistakes made and minimizes the time to find the data or information desired. In addition, the database can display data quickly and accurately. Therefore, to support effective academic information systems need to be designed a database system that is more comprehensive academic so that it is easier to process data that is needed. The objectives to be achieved is to design an academic database using Entity Relationship Diagram technique and test normalization in Elementary School 3 Kalipucang Wetan to reduce data redundancy, duplication of data, data inconsistencies and data that led to the disintegration of the waste of the inaccuracies in the data storage and report generation of academic.The results achieved in this thesis is to produce an academic database on SD Negeri 3 Kalipucang Wetan normalization has been done to test the third form which can minimize the disintegration of the data, data inconsistency, duplication of data and facilitate data recovery
