Abstract

With the advancement of information technology nowadays, the requirement for accurate information is needed in everyday life, so the information will be an important element in the development of today's society and the future. Utilization of existing data in the information system to support decision-making activities, is not enough to just rely on operational data alone, it's needed a data analysis to exploring the potential of existing information. In this study, researcher processed data export using Kohonen network algorithm, by classifying synthetic plastic export data into 3 clusters based on the characteristics of the data to discover hidden information from the data set rattan exports. Attribute data used in this study is the region or country, the name of goods, colors and prices. The purpose of this study is to analyze large data, to help provide information on the export data that processed to provide an overview of goods and its color that most desirable as well as the size of the export in a region to do a decision making as a marketing strategy and right production using Kohonen network algorithm. The information obtained in this study can be used as a reference in determining the strategy and making the right decisions in order to company production that more effective and efficient.
