Abstract
Intrusion Detection System is device which has competence to detect attack by the local networking also connect to the internet. The problem begin when many package data come and must be analyze one day. Mining Data Technique is right technique to analyze the data. Some research have been used mining data technique to handle an attack caused by IDS like frequent itemset analyses, clustering analysis, classification analysis and association analysis. The purpose of this research is to classified on testing of the data which use classification method and algorithm classification C4.5. This research using data set from KDD’99 and has 41 attribute, the attribute did feature selection to delete irrelevant attribute using evolutionary technique. The result from this feature selection is 16 attributes with high accuracy 98, 67% of 41 attributes. Then the result did modeling using algorithm C4.5 and produce rule to apply in the implementation classification system analysis data. The rule result could applied in the system to classify the data attack like dos,u2r, r2l and probe also normal activity networking.
