Abstract

One of the benefit of technology is to identificate of an image into a text which consist of letter and digits. The distribution area in reading an image consist of front, middle, and back area. Front and back area are in the form of letter, meanwhile the middle area is in the form of digits. These form are very favorable because it will avoid the user from read an image which not belong to its area due to similarity of exercise data. K-nearest neighbor method give advantage because it doesnot consume too much time on its calibration. This happened because on identificate an image by data set, it doesnot need any repetition. This method need many exercise to give easiness on identification. It is suitable with the characteristic of the method. Identification of an image is very influenced by the brightness of the image because the light identificate new spots. New spot caused by the process before it run into black and white. The identification also influenced either by condition or the font type of the nonstandar car lisence plat. A dirty car liscence plat also can affect the result of identification of the image.
