Abstract

The agricultural sector in Indonesia is an economic buffer so that this sector can make a great contribution to the development of the national economy. Although Indonesia is including agriculture county (agricultural), to keeps domestic needs still have to import some agricultural commodities. Syzygium samarangense plant fruit is very popular and starts to be a identity fruit of Demak. In the period 2006 - 2009, syzygium samarangense plant farming in Demak has undergone a change year to year. The development of syzygium samarangense plant land is increasing but the yields did not increase significantly. So, we need an integrated farming management. One of the efforts to improve the yields is a system which can facilitate consultation to farmers in maintaining a syzygium samarangense plant fruits, detect and resolve any disease on syzygium samarangense plant so expected the yield increase. Pests and diseases were identified in this expert system in the limit on the roots, leaves, stems, fruits which the writer obtained from the results of the survey at the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture Food Crops Demak district. While the method which used in the inference engine is the forward chaining. The system creates base a web where every farmer can access and to process additional data and information can be done by experts who are granted access rights by this syste.
