    Abstract

    Libraries and archives offices Batang is one of public service facilities located in Batang as the science center. Once the extent of the district of Batang make access to the library to be difficult this has led to the delivery of information to members of the library where the library has been delayed information provided can only be delivered in the library and the level of discipline of members of the library to be less good. In order to create a good relationship between members of the library and the library media liaison is needed between them. SMS is a technology that allows people to obtain or transmit information quickly, accurately and on target. SMS gateway chosen because it serves as a media liaison SMS data traffic, both sent and received. Based on the existing problems will need to be made a prototype sms gateway on libraries and archives district office are made using the PHP programming language, MySQL database storage and use gammu to manage the sms on the modem, as one alternative solution to solving the problem. For the method used in designing the prototype method that emphasizes communication between the user and the parties concerned to the system as desired. This system is expected to assist the library in the delivery of library information quickly, accurately and precisely targeted to members of the library also maximize performance and service offices Batang libraries and archives.
