Abstract
Catering service is a necessity for some people who have a celebration for the important events that bring many people to come. Catering provides food, decor, and service to customers who have a celebration. In Semarang own tradition of using a catering service has become a necessity of life, to help the success and smooth running of the event. One of the catering in Semarang is Cipta Djaya Catering, which was founded in 2008 by Mr Sutjipto. Mr Sutjipto move the bow of an ice maker carving into the catering business, and now is developing its business in Semarang. Catering in Semarang itself has reached 130 catering business, so the competition is getting tougher. Differences of Cipta Djaya Catering with another catering service is of exclusive and professional use supervisor. Today was reserved Djaya still disseminate information Catering business through word of mouth. Without the promotion and advertising media right, very hard to expand the market of Cipta Djaya Catering with many competitors. Segmentation of consumers who use a lot of catering services is the community that has grown at the age of 25-50 years old, so the social media age is familiar with the newspaper media. Designing visual communication is considered successful if it is able to introduce the Cipta Djaya Catering to the general public so that it can increase sales turnover.
